Freebies For Parents And Their Children

Everyone gets excited once the news of a new addition to the family reaches them. It is not only the family who are busy anticipating and preparing for the arrival of the child, but the friends and acquaintances of the family as well. Everyone asks if the baby is a boy or a girl, if the baby already has a crib, feeding bottles and toys. But these days, even businesses are joining in the fun and excitement of preparing for the coming of a tiny little bundle of joy. Businesses are now offering many different baby offers.

One of the best baby offers is Enfamil Family Beginnings. This is a great program for expectant mothers who are planning to breastfeed their babies. Breastfeeding is a sure way for mothers to provide both food and nutrients to their babies. Enfamil Family Beginnings give out brochures and pamphlets with information about breastfeeding. They are aiming to educate new mothers and encourage them to breastfeed their babies. The program also offers to provide information on how mothers should supplement their breastfeeding with formula.

Enfamil Family Beginnings not only provide information on milk and formula, they also give tips and suggestions to assist you in raising your child from birth until his toddler years. They also gave away diaper bags that come in handy when the baby spends a day outside.

Apart from the information and free diaper bags, the program also sent free formula. This part of the program was able to help those who are in need.

Another baby offer is the free subscription to American Baby Magazine. This program was well-received because the company does not hassle people into getting a subscription or bother them with survey questions. They just freely gave away copies of magazines. So many parents are helped by their articles that mostly tackle the issues in raising a child.

Mayo Clinic's book about pregnancy has been offered for free by State Farm. The book was huge, weighing almost three pounds. But having that tome is very helpful, because with the wealth of information it provides, it may just as well be called a pregnancy encyclopedia.

Baby offers are a great way for a company to advertise. Not only are they able to present their products to the market, they are also able to help families with the freebies that they give away.

Baby Gate Safety

BABY GATES. The words alone give you a sense that if you provide a gate, your little toddler will be safe and contained. I certainly agree. On the surface, this is what a baby gate will and should provide. But not all baby gates are created equal.

Lets start with a few word choices that will get you the right equipment. A parent goes into a store and says to the clerk, Im here to buy a baby gate. Remember, the baby is not going to use the gate, you are. Who knows what theyll get.

Now try this, Im here to buy a gate for myself and my family to use to protect our baby. You want a gate for an adult. Youre the one who has to use it every day. Now you have a shot at getting a gate that allows you, the parent, to use the equipment without stepping over it and cursing it every time you need to pass through it.

I have personally installed over a thousand gates in homes as a business. The one thing I always recommended was to choose the right gate for the job.

Place hard mounted gates at the top of the stairs. I actually prefer this hard mount gate in all areas as long as it is manageable; meaning the opening wasnt so wide it had the gate swing half way across the room.

If you must have the pressure type in your doorways, choose something that takes hand coordination to open. In other words, the foot activated type is not what I would use. Trust me on this. Pressure gate damage can be worse than a gate that has been screwed into the wall.

One company stands out above the rest and that is a company by the name of KidCo. They provide a wide variety of gates for all types of situations from stairs to fireplaces. You can find them in baby stores and online. I recommend doing your homework before you buy.

My all time favorite would be the Safeway steel gate. It is the greatest for features and benefits. Its a hard mount gate that is easy to install. Please follow instructions to the letter. I have installed this gate in a wide range of applications and always had the parent overjoyed with its performance. They also have mounting kits to assist you in your installation if needed.

The other gate I like is the hearth gate for fireplaces. It beats having to create a barrier out of furniture. Ive seen parents get very creative when it comes to protecting the baby from danger. Doing it right is much easier.

Now I know I didnt give you dimensions and every detail associated with the KidCo brand of gating, but you can get all that from them. Do it right and take my advice. Put safety products in that a pro would use. Its the only gating I used for my own grandchildren.

Ken White and his wife Vicki owned and operated a retail store for over six years specializing in child safety products and installation, car seat safety and educational toys.
